An AfriCarbon Project

This Kuzuko project has been successfully implemented. Over the course of 2023, AfriCarbon planted 30 million spekboom plants over 5200 hectares, with a workforce of over 400 people, including a management and science team of approximately 40 people. The company built a village to house 250 workers.

The map shows the extent of the planting. All areas shaded in white were planted with spekboom plants. In a global context, this is one of the largest ecosystem restoration projects ever implemented.
